A.A. 2012-2013

 

  • Experimental archaeology workshop on the manufacture of picks for digging prehistoric hypogea
    This activity is aimed at the reconstruction of the sequences of excavation of the prehistoric rock-cut tombs of S’Elighe Entosu, with particular attention to the analyses of the picks that were employed for digging. Activities offered: Introduction to the contents of the course; technological and functional analyses of the picks found at the necropolis; a research for the raw materials necessary for the experimentation; experimental reproduction of the picks; analysis of the results of the experimentation.

 

 

A.A. 2014-2015

  • Experimental archaeology workshop on the use of hard animal materials
    During the workshop on hard animal materials, experimental activities were undertaken on bones and shells, with the aim of reproducing traces related to two practises documented in Neolithic and Copper Age Sardinian societies: the bipartition of flat bones and direct façonnage of shell valves.
